Superseding Religion

Make no mistake, Obama is NOT a Communist, he is a National Socialist
The question is, “Do the people currently inhabiting this land mass want to be citizens of the United States of America as it was formed or do they want to be subjects of the National Socialist State of America?”  Those in power at present are doing everything they can to make this country mirror the National Socialist paradise of 1930s Germany.  Like liberalism and communism, National Socialism is a superseding religion.  It nominally allows one to remain whatever they were, Christian, Jew, Ba’Hi, Hindu, you name it.  The problem is that you must adopt National Socialism’s standards and ideals where they conflict with your previous religion and ignore reality.

For me, Give me Liberty, or Give me Death.

For a noble death is the door to perfect freedom.

An American

We have heard a lot in the past week about This Kind of American and That Kind of American.  There is only one American, they come in differing colors, shapes and sizes.  But, all Americans bleed the same red for their country.  Don't let anyone divide us.  E Pluribus Unum.  We are one, anyone who wants to have a qualifier is not an American.

Abortion as a means of reducing undesirables in United States

Comment from a reader:

The abortion issue continues here.

In 2011 160,000 women lost access to family planning services under Medicaid here - the number continues to grow.

The unplanned pregnancy birth rates have skyrocketed and continue to grow.

If the bill passes here 37 of 42 clinics will close and others will not have access due to the law if there is a hospital within 30 miles.

We have 17 million people behind bars
We have 17 million people active in churches

So if those numbers are equal will those 17million church goers pay the $35,000 to $50,000 annual for the growing incarceration due to unwanted births, and children without love in their life?

We also agreed that 70 percent of blacks are born without parents in wedlock. Who will adopt those unwanted black kids?- foster care -

I'm trying to figure out the republican agenda without any foresight of how to pay for it in future costs as well as the implications to society.  It's like the 99 weeks of unemployment - who thought that out as we continue to lose 30,000 manufacturing jobs per month- not much chance of re- employment is there?  No one is thinking anything through.

Give me some ideas - trying to more than "god will take care of it all"- because the solution might be a plague …

Response - The actual number of persons incarcerated in the United States appears to be about 2.3 Million or 1 in 142.  Most of these (probably 80 percent) are in for drug related offenses.  The average cost for each prisoner is $24,000.00
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_incarceration_rate

This was a Christian country.  It is now a pagan country actively worshipping Baal.  Rather than the Christian moral and work ethic, we:
·      Pay people not to work;
·      Pay people to have children out of wedlock;
·      Charge people more taxes if they are married than if they are single;
·      Encourage random out of wedlock sex without consequences;
·      Think people have a right to kill their babies because they are inconvenient;
·      Complain of low birth rate, while killing babies;
·      Encourage illegal immigration, while making legal immigration almost impossible;
·      Have 20 million people unemployed and the solution is to bring in another 25 million illegals and give them citizenship;
·      Enforce only those laws that the current administration finds convenient, while not repealing others;
·      Accept a police state far worse than anything the 1930s Nazis could imagine;
·      Give government union employees total control over our lives;
·      Let the legislatures abrogate their law making responsibility and give it to the bureaucracy;
·      Let the courts rule a dog's tail to be a leg;
·      Are ruled by the government.

All this since you and I have been born.  One generation, no more.

Do we need more gangbangers?  No, we have plenty already.  Is the solution killing babies?  Not for the country I want to live in.  Tell people they won't be paid to farm kids.  If they want welfare, the mom and dad will be sterilized.  Bet they figure out birth control quickly.

The only solution is to return to the country's foundation, a Back to Basics program.  We won't, of course.

The country is nigh on bankrupt.  States like California are well beyond.

Pray that God will raise up a leader from among us.  Put your faith in Him.  Don't sell any of your ammunition.  You will need it badly, if He does not choose to raise up a leader.

ONE HUNDRED and ONE SOLDIERLY THOUGHTS - By Major Mark A. Smith Sr., US Army, Retired

Courtesy of Michael Yon,

Mark Smith is a retired Special Forces Major. He was captured in the battle of Loch Ninh in Vietnam. He had 38 holes in his body when captured, back broken, lung messed up, bowel penetrated, and other wounds. He was held in a camp in Cambodia until released.  He was an officer, but he was a sergeant first as he was field commissioned to the officer position.
=====
Note: Some decades ago, a friend in the Pentagon asked me to jot down a few soldierly thoughts. Down through the years I added a couple, but deleted none of the originals. They may not be modern or politically correct, but they did make the round. I stand by them today. Mark

1. Never accept an officer as competent based on his source of commission.

2. Your right to influence the battlefield is diminished in ratio to the distance you are from the actual arena of action.

3. The battlefield selects its own Generals. No school or board can replace it.

4. Never call fire on your own troops, unless you stand among them.

5. Leaders are indeed born and no military school can provide what God did not.

6. Equipment procurement will always be compromised by not only being made by the lowest bidder, but by attempting to make it multi-functional.

7. Attempting to lighten the soldier’s load by diminishing the weight of any given weapon, will always result in shorter range and less firepower.

8. Excellent staff officers rarely make good battlefield commanders.

9. Outstanding commanders will surround themselves with excellent staff officers.

10. Never make command a reward for good staff work.

11. Discipline began its decline with the demise of the swagger stick and centralized promotion boards.

12. Outstanding NCO’s may make good officers. But, rarely will a riffed officer make a good NCO.

13. Atheists will never be trusted by their troops on the battlefield.

14. Women can do many things men do, except for a few days every month.

15. Going through the change, has nothing to do with the female senior officer’s uniform.

16. Sexual harassment is a two-lane road.

17. Soldiers tell the truth about good and bad commanders. Their opinion is the ultimate evaluation of an officer.

18. No commander was ever hated for being too hard.  But, many are detested for trying to cultivate that image, without substance.

19. The maximum effective range of any weapon is that range at which the individual soldier can hit his target and not an inch further.

20. Pretty females rarely feel harassed by male counterparts.

21. Plain-looking female soldiers are usually the best performers and fit in.

22. Endurance should be judged on the bayonet assault course and not on a marathon run.

23. How far soldiers can run in shorts is unimportant, compared to how far they can speed march with full equipment.

24. Pregnant females are overweight soldiers. Thus, the US Army Weight Control program is not based on equal enforcement of the rules.

25. Tears on the cheeks of any soldier, regardless of gender, are only acceptable on the death of a relative or comrade and when “Old Glory” passes by.

26. Pregnancy is self-inflicted, thus abortions should be paid for by the soldier, as a non line of duty procedure.

27. Soldiers are not ‘sent into combat,” they are led.

28. Your worth as an officer should never be judged on how well you ran with a football in college.

29. West Point is a place of learning, as is any college. Both produce two types of officer; Good and Bad.

30. The computer will never be able to judge the content of a soldier’s spirit, as his Sergeant can.

31. Esprit De Corps cannot be attained at the Battalion picnic or Sports Day.  It must be instilled by good leadership and belief in one’s fellow soldiers.

32. No new weapon or tactic will ever instill the same fear in the enemy that one Infantryman with a bayonet can.

33. He who drinks at lunch is a drunken soldier in the afternoon.

34. No soldier is so smart that his physical deficiencies can be overlooked in the Infantry.

35. Painting rocks and serving drinks to officers, have never been soldierly functions. And golf is not a required skill for officers.

36. Consolidation of all administrative personnel at battalion level has eroded accountability and proper reporting.

37. Anyone who thinks that future battlefields will not contain Infantrymen knows nothing about war.

38. Indecision kills more soldiers than any wrong decision. One can command his way out of a wrong decision.

39. The only mission of the Infantry Soldier is to kill the enemy. “Humanitarian Missions" are someone else’s job.

40. Only the Infantry and Armor can gain ground. Only the Infantry can hold it alone.

41. Special Forces are not Rangers or Light Infantry and should never be employed as such.

42. Rangers are light infantry and are not Special Forces.

43. Victory is not a limited objective. There is no other reason to engage an enemy, except victory.

44. Never shower or apply after-shave and cologne, forty eight hours prior to a night attack.

45. Sweat is the true lubricant of the Infantry fighting machine.

46. No American Soldier can be managed to victory. He must be led.

47. The only color in the U.S. Army is green.

48. Use of chemical weapons and biological weapons are a crime against humanity.

49. Not training your soldiers to protect themselves from them is a crime against your own troops.

50. Any tactic written in a book is known to your enemies.

51. If short hair is truly a matter of hygiene and discipline, then all soldiers must have it.

52. No member of a soldier’s family is more important than the mission.

53. No soldier can accomplish his mission if the Army neglects his family.

54. Any soldier who sleeps with another soldier’s wife or lover cannot be trusted on the battlefield and should be shunned.

55. Officers are more likely to wear unauthorized awards than any NCO or  Private.

56. Any officer who claims he is accepting an individual award for the entire unit should allow his soldiers to wear it.

57. There can be no quota for awards.

58. Any award for Valor is of more value to the Army than any school diploma or certification.

59. Heroism cannot be taught. But, cowardice is a communicable disease.

60. The machine gun is too important a weapon to be used as a tool for punishing poor soldiers.

61. Precision weapons will jam, if the Commander demands communal cleaning.

62. No officer should be given a command, because, he needs one for his career.

63. No officer should be denied a command, because, he already had one.

64. The state of the Army can be evaluated by how its soldiers look in uniform, at any airport in the world.

65. No reporter can be trusted with operational plans. A reporter who reveals operational plans is a traitor to his country.

66. A combat veteran of any war should be respected by soldiers.

67. American soldiers do not lose wars. Leaders lose wars.

68. What a soldier saw with his own eyes, cannot be ignored or changed by higher headquarters.

69. If Special Forces are not assigned strategic missions, they are being misused.

70. The “Hummer” is a vehicle and is the only thing of that name allowed in the Infantry.

71. If you wish to learn about guerrilla warfare, study Francis Marion and not Westmoreland or Giap.

72. The one night you don’t dig in, will bring mortars on your position.

73. Taking the easy way will always get you killed.

74. Blank ammunition has no place in Infantry training.

75. The more you restrict Infantrymen possessing live ammunition, the more accidents you will have.

76. The Air Force and Navy are supporting arms.

77. Intelligence Officer is usually a contradiction in terms.

78. Inclement weather is the true Infantryman’s ally.

79. There is no special duty so important, that it takes the Infantry Soldier away from his squad.

80. Commanders who use the “Off Limits” authority to deny sex to combat soldiers will have a high V.D. rate.

81. A Commander’s morals are his own and cannot be imposed on his soldiers.

82. Chaplains must present themselves when the soldier has time, not because they have a schedule.

83. An officer must be judged on his ability and not on how many coffees his wife has attended.

84. Senior officers who allow discussions about a brother officer, not present, are not honorable men.

85. A Commander who bad-mouths his predecessor will never be truly respected.

86. Equal opportunity is guaranteed by the law and does not require a separate staff.

87. If a Sergeant Major suggests a unit watch, he is the supplier.

88. The quality of food went down, with the initiation of the consolidated mess.

89. No NCO or Warrant Officer outranks a Second Lieutenant.

90. Any officer who does not listen to NCO’s and Warrant Officers is a fool.

91. If you wish your subordinates to call you by your first name, go sell shoes. There is no place for you in the Army.

92. Any Army man who sneers at a Marine for being sharp and well turned out is no soldier.

93. Any Infantryman who must call higher headquarters before engaging the enemy has a fool for a commander.

94. Soldiers respect leaders worth emulating. They cannot be “ordered” to respect anyone.

95. No man who refused to serve his country in war should be elected or appointed over men and women being sent to fight.

96. The soldier must obey the orders of all those elected or appointed over him.

97. The “leadership genes” in famous American military families usually become weaker as the generations roll by.

98. A soldier should not be denied the right to wear his uniform anywhere in America, including The White House.

99. The only truly unique headgear is the one the Army was forced to authorize. All others are cheap copies.

100. There is only one reason to join the Army and that is to serve the Country.

101. If a soldier says he hates combat, he is in the wrong profession.

ABOVE ALL, IF YOU ARE NOT INFANTRY, YOU ARE SUPPORT!

Trust in God and Dread Naught

The Founding Fathers recognized the central role of God in the world.  The basic rights we have are inalienable; they derive from God.  The Constitution was put in place to recognize those rights and limit the power of government to interfere with those rights.

Almost all those who came here from the Old World came looking for freedom to worship God in their own way, even the Church of Englanders.  They came for freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion.

Over the past century, there has been a continuous subversion of our Constitutional Republic.  National Socialist politicians, often styled as Progressives, have worked to institute direct payment benefits to insure votes of the non-producers.  A rallying cry of the Revolution was “No taxation without representation.”  We now have representation without taxation.  The National Socialists have worked hard to “educate” people through the public school indoctrination program that this country is a democracy and that everyone has the right to vote.   Once you have a democracy, you can buy the votes of the non-producers as long as there is universal suffrage.  Once you get there, you go further; all people are equal, not before God, but in use to the country.  Thus, all should have the same standard of living (paid for by those who produce).  All lifestyles are of equal merit, except of course the lifestyle that created the country and defended it for 200 years.   The National Socialists cannot accept God as having a place in the body politic as He has unchanging standards and rules that conflict with the National Socialists’ goals.  The state must be supreme.

The fact is that Christians are who made the country.  Look at the Declaration of Independence, an unconstitutional document if ever there was one.

We are now in a position where things are illegal even though they are moral and things that are immoral are illegal.  The Supreme Court finds group rights in a document which speaks only of individual rights.  It finds a right to murder unborn children based on a right to privacy mentioned nowhere in the same document.  Yet, the same court has difficulty in finding a right to the means of self defense and defense against a tyrannical government in a document which says the “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”

While we still have legal freedom of speech, the Political Correct crowd will make accusations of Hate Speech.  Soon, your freedom of association, threatened already will be gone.  Right now, you cannot rent to whom you choose, you cannot serve whom you choose.  So on and so forth.

Those who are ignorant of history are indeed doomed to repeat it.

Trust in God and Dread Naught.

Child Sacrifice and Baal • Abortion and Secular Humanism

The principal pillars of Baalism were child sacrifice, sexual immorality (both heterosexual and homosexual) and pantheism (reverence of creation over the Creator). Adults would gather around the altar of Baal. Infants would then be burned alive as a sacrificial offering to the deity. Amid horrific screams and the stench of charred human flesh, congregants – men and women alike – would engage in bisexual orgies. The ritual of convenience was intended to produce economic prosperity by prompting Baal to bring rain for the fertility of “mother earth.”

Worshipping Baal meant sacrificing human life, never your own, just the innocent newly born, so that you might have prosperity here on earth.  Now that “medical professionals have perfected killing the unborn and partly born, there is a new way to prosperity and convenience.  Will you kill your baby so that you can have the payments for a new BMW instead of just buying an old Ford?

Can you please tell me the difference between Baalism and Secular Humanism? Secular Humanism is the Baalism of today.

Do you wonder what morals Barack Obama had in mind teaching his “miracle daughters” when he said, "I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby."

Baal had his babies roasted alive.  Secular Humanism prefers to suck their brains out while they are alive or maybe just dismember them.  All so that young people are not punished with a baby.

Two thousand years ago, Jesus said, “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 18:6 KJV   Do you think sucking their brains out or dismembering them alive is offensive to these little ones?

Punished with a baby?  There is a special place in hell, perhaps with a millstone.

Arms and the Man

Citizens must never be denied the right of being armed.  Armed against the world, including but not limited to the unconstitutional usurpation of the government.

The only possible reason for the registration of firearms is so that they can be confiscated.  The only reason.

Irony and Deception - Business Aviation

Is it not ironic that the biggest critic of business aviation is a person who only travels by personal jet?
Not just a personal jet, but the biggest most expensive personal jet in the world!

A person who is never subject to the insults of the TSA.

A person whose jet never waits for a clearance or a rental car.

A person who says that those who depend on aviation to further their business are those who can afford to pay more.

A person who says look not at what I do, but do exactly as I say.

By the way, buy a 65 mpg tin can that does not exist and stay out of the way of the limo, if you please.

Or, if you don't the Secret Service will detain you indefinitely.

Free Lunch

It came to me the other day that the problem we really have in our country today, the world for that matter is the concept that the government can “give” someone anything.  People want to believe the government can give them things, things they “deserve.”

The problem is that the government has nothing to “give” that it has not taken at the point of a gun from its citizens and other residents.  The government can only take from those who produce to fund those who do not.  Thus, with welfare and its cousins, government encourages those who do not produce and discourages those who do produce.

When we established this government, a government of the people, by the people, for the people was a servant of the people, those who worked for it were termed public servants.  Servant, a term used for those who serve at the pleasure of their masters.

We now have a government which is not elected, a bureaucracy which is self-contained and self sustaining, which makes not law, but regulation which has the force of law and is answerable to no one.  We elect representatives based on what they claim they can “give” us from the government coffers.

There is no free lunch.  I can buy you lunch, you can buy me lunch.  The lunch is not free, even if the restaurant buys it for us.  Someone has to pay.

Someone has to pay for everything.  So, if society is to be successful, everyone has to work to pay for what they want and what they need.

This problem has been around since Cicero wrote his message:

Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and given him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the “new wonderful good society” which shall now be Rome’s, interpreted to mean "more money, more ease, more security, and more living fatly at the expense of the industrious".”
― Marcus Tullius Cicero

and since Paul wrote his second letter to the Thessalonians, Chapter 3, Verse 10:

… if any would not work, neither should he eat.

The current president got in to office and intends to stay in office by offering your money to those who don’t feel like going to work.

If we do not return to a Constitutional Republic, we will founder, consider the words of Alexis de Tocqueville:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.”

United States "Budget" and Spending

Iowahawk on SPENDING can be found  HERE. You must see this YouTube Video of Iowahawk's explanation of SPENDING.

Before you look at it, take a quick look at the numbers below.

The following is courtesy of the Air Force Association (AFA):

Snapshot of the U.S. Government financial situation:

* U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000

* Federal budget: $3,820,000,000,000

* New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000

* National debt: $14,271,000,000,000

* Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Let's now remove 8 zeros and pretend it's a household budget:

* Annual family income: $21,700

* Money the family spent: $38,200

* New debt on the credit card: $16,500

* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710

* Total budget cuts: $385

Pretty basic!!!

The problem is spending.  Spending on what?  Government!  When the government "hires" an employee, they must take money from taxpayers to pay the employee.

Simply put government is OVERHEAD.  It is a force pulling down the economy.  Government should facilitate commerce, not prevent it.  Right now we have too much government.

Think about this, the Federal Government talks about BUDGET CUTS, yet the BUDGET CUTS are SPENDING INCREASES!

Cut spending!  Who cares how much you budget.  CUT SPENDING.

Actually, if we just froze spending in about 10 years we would have a surplus.

At least a drunken sailor quits spending when he runs out of money!  I know, I was one.

Evolis Pebble 3 or Peb3le Card Printer will not print

We have had an Evolis Pebble 3, or Peb3le as they cleverly call it, for six years.  It has printed about 2,000 cards.  While they still market the printer, it must be fairly said that it has been out of warranty for four years.  Still makes the per card cost high!

It has stopped printing.  After the upgrade to OSX 10.7 Lion, it printed 65 cards, then would print no more.  Now, it appears Evolis does not yet support Lion.  They claim they will in the first part of 2012.

Stay tuned!

70 Years Ago - Pearl Harbor

Seventy years ago tonight, as this is written, twenty-nine year old LTjg Jackson D. Arnold, USN, USNA Class of 1934, an Engineering Test Pilot assigned to Ford Island in the middle of Pearl Harbor was at one of the usual Saturday night parties very common at the time.  He and his new girlfriend Muriel McChesney would not get home until early the next morning.  No problems, it was going to be a lazy Sunday.  He could sleep in.  Jack was, in today’s terms, a Party Animal.  He dropped off Muriel at her home a mile or so away near the foot of Diamond Head and went home to what might be generously called sleep.  Things were good, things were stable.  All was well.

Things would change.  Change faster than Jack could imagine.

Just before 0800, Jack awoke to the biggest bang he had heard since he was the Officer in Charge of ARIZONA’s Number Four Turret.  He rolled out of bed, ran out side and looked up.  Divebombers, rolling in on Pearl Harbor, meatballs on their sides.  The bang had been a Jap mistaking his pickle button for a radio key.  A 500 pounder fell a few hundred feet from his front lanai.  He ran back inside, put on his khaki uniform, grabbed his desktop radio and headed towards Pearl, with a quick stop to give Muriel the radio and tell her to keep her wits about her and listen to the radio.

Into his car and towards Pearl.  As he raced along what is now Nimitz Highway, through the cane fields, a military staff car pulled in front of him, shortly thereafter a truck pulled in behind him.  A convoy of three.  Soon a Zero found them, rolling in, he strafed the staff car, which ran off into the cane fields.  The Jap came back around and rolled in on the truck, riddled with bullets, it went off burning into the cane fields.  Jack had had enough of that, he pulled off the road and dove under the car.   After about two minutes, it came to him; there he was under the only potential target.  He decided he would more likely survive if he were a moving target and not hiding under the gas tank.  Back on the road!  In a few minutes he came to the Pearl Boat Facility where he looked for a launch to Ford Island.  No launches!  Then, he looked in the boat shed.  It was full of launches and cowering coxswains.

Jack jumped into the launch closest to the open boat house door.  A coxswain came out, “You can’t take that, she’s mine.”  Jack said, “Well, she’s going to Ford Island.”  “Not without me driving,” as the coxswain hopped aboard and started her.

Arriving at Ford Island in the middle of the first wave, Jack sprinted across the field, scrambled into the only flyable F-4F Wildat and got her running.  A plane captain clambered up the side of the running aircraft to tell him that not only was the aircraft very low on fuel, but it was totally devoid of ammunition.  So much for his first air to air victory.  With no other flyable aircraft remaining, he looked about for a way to “contribute to the war effort.”

Just before the second wave hit, Jack came across a young Marine who had lost his life in the first wave attack, but kept his BAR from hitting the ground.  Jack, having been on the All Navy Rifle and Pistol Teams and an avid bird hunter felt at home with the Browning.  As he stood there near the base of the new tower, a lone torpedo bomber rolled in to strafe the tower and thus him.  Judging his lead carefully, he emptied two magazines into the Jap, killing the pilot and severing a line or two.  Smoke and flame poured from the plane as it crashed on the field.  The second wave was gone.  Jack went over to the wreck, it was the Torpedo Squadron Commander.  Jack took a bottle of sake from the plane, they would not need it now.  He took a big gulp, passed it to sailors gathering to see what he had found, and ran back to the whaleboat he had taken to Ford Island.

Grabbing the launch, he put out for ARIZONA to pick up survivors.  The first person he pulled from the water exclaimed, “Mr. Arnold! Mr. Arnold! Mr. Arnold!”  Looking at the man, covered head to toe in bunkers, black as a seal, Jack responded, “Sir, you have the advantage of me.  Who the blazes are you?”  The slippery dark form responded, “Sir, it is me, Johnson.”  The Number Four Turret Captain, the Petty Officer with whom Jack had worked on his first assignment out of the Naval Academy.

Things would change for Jack.  In five weeks, he would marry his new girl friend Muriel, a marriage that would last over 60 years.  In less than a year, he would be a full Commander, form a new Air Group, Air Group Two, be the Torpedo Squadron Commander, with a very short but more successful career than the Jap Commander he shot down.  He would be Air Group Two’s first Commander or CAG for her first War Cruise on HORNET, the second carrier of that name.  Shooting down four more Japs, he would command the most successful Air Group of the war.  After the war, Jack would be Air Officer on BOXER, one of the first jet pilots in the Navy, then go into the Bureau of Naval Materiel.  He would design space suits, pioneer new techniques in aircraft and ship procurement.  Then finally he would be the first Commander of the newly formed Naval Materiel Command, the biggest command in the Navy.  He would retire as a Four Star Admiral.  But, he would always be known as Gentleman Jack whose men would follow him anywhere.

Memorial Day Weekend

As you enjoy your leisure on the first three day weekend of the summer or the last one of the spring, depending on your climate location, please remember to whom this weekend is dedicated. Memorial Day, the day set aside to remember before God those who have given their lives that we might live free in this country. Nothing more and nothing less.

Freedom is not free. The cost is high and measured in rich red blood. It exists not because of the politician handing out rights or money, both of which have been confiscated from the citizenry. It exists not because of pundits and critics. It exists not because of political organizations. Freedom exists because when the country called, red blooded Americans answered that call knowing full well they may lose their lives in her defense. This weekend is dedicated to the remembrance of those who have given their lives that we might live in freedom. They gave their future and that of their families’ to the end that we might have a free today.

Charge your glass, raise it high. Drink to them.

"THE BIVOUAC OF THE DEAD"

By Theodore O'Hara

The muffled drums sad roll has beat
The soldier's last Tattoo;
No more on life's parade shall meet
That brave and fallen few.
On fame's eternal camping ground
Their silent tents are spread,
But glory guards, with solumn round,
The bivouac of the dead.

No rumor of the foe's advance
Now swells upon the wind;
No troubled thought at midnight haunts
Of loved one's left behind;
No vision of tomorrow, s strife
The warrior's dream alarms;
No braying horn nor screaming fife,
At dawn shall call to arms.

Their shivered swords are red with rust,
Their plumed heads are bowed;
Their haughty banner, trailed in dust,
Is now their martial shroud.
And plenteous funeral tears have washed
The red stains from each brow;
And the proud forms, by battle gashed,
Are free from anguish now.

The neighing troop, the flashing blade,
The bugle's stirring blast,
The charge, the dreadful cannonade,
The din and shouts are past;
Nor war's wild note, nor glory's peal,
Shall thrill with fierce delight
Those breasts that never more may feel
The rapture of the fight.

Rest on, embalmed and sainted dead,
Dear as the blood you gave,
No impious footstep here shall tread
The heritage of your grave;
Nor shall your glory be forgot
While fame her record keeps,
Or honor points the hallowed spot
Where valor proudly sleeps.

Yon marble minstrel's voiceless stone
In deathless song shall tell
When many a vanquished age hath flown,
The story how ye fell;
Nor wreck, nor change, nor winter's blight,
Nor time's remorseless doom,
Shall dim one ray of glory's light
That gilds your deathless tomb.

Thanksgiving Message from Bishop Jerry Ogles, Anglican Orthodox Church

November 2010 Anno Domini (THANKSGIVING)

Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Deut 8:11-14,18

America is a special land, a land that literally flows with milk and honey, and a land blessed beyond all other nations in recorded history. Why do you suppose the invader has never been able to set foot in America’s heartland or drink from the Ohio’s waters? Is it because we are a people superior to all other peoples of the world? Is it because we are more cunning and wise than all civilizations past and present? Is it because our labors and employments merit our abundance in material and resources?

Nothing could be further from the truth. Our land is not blessed by what we do, or the wisdom of our administration of government, or the innate goodness of our citizens as a national people – it is owing to the faith of our Founding Fathers in seeking out that Solid Rock and Foundation for our National Character and Government. Never intending to exclude either God the Father, or God the Son, from being intrinsically woven into the fiber of our National Will and Faith, they drafted founding documents which they hoped would insure the perpetuation of that faith that has propelled us to our state of blessedness and security. They have passed the burning torch of freedom down through generation after generation of heroic and self-sacrificing Americans until, at the present moment, it has fallen upon us to hold aloft and to keep the fires of liberty alight. This is our ensign on the present battlefield. These are the colors around which we must rally or fall.

The storms of doubt and decadence are sweeping the plains and prairies of America fueled by powers and forces that are not representative of the nature of the America our fathers knew. They threaten to extinguish the flame atop our torch of Freedom. How can this be? It can never happen unless we permit it. A freedom-loving people are incapable of defeat so long as they adhere to the faith and principles that made them free in the first instance. That faith is centered on the great liberator of all peoples – the Lord Jesus Christ.

I appeal to each of you, as well as my own household, to petition the Lord God of Heaven to allow His Holy Spirit once again to move upon the face of the darkened waters of America and speak with all the force and majesty as that first utterance at Creation – “Let there be Light!” Let us thank the offended Sovereign of all Nations for the freedom with which He has blessed us, and pray for a renewal and reformation of our souls and hearts to Christ, lest we perish.

In Christ Alone,

JERRY L. OGLES

Presiding Bishop & Metropolitan

Submit or Stay - Show us your …

Where we are now is that you may not have the freedom to travel unless you agree to provide a current photograph of your and your wife nude, you must agree to allow both of you to be molested by "government" agents. Apparently we now have a protected class of sexual criminal who is allowed to grope at will.

Then consider that muslims who will not go through the full frontal (and rear) nudity camera are not to be "enhanced patdown screened", they may only be felt up on their head and neck. Makes sense? NOT

There have been various TSA agents recorded (no possibility of misconstruction) saying in effect, "If you don't go through the full nudity scanner, we will molest you sufficiently that next time you will." Where is the ACLU now?

Clearly this is an absolute abrogation of our rights. Our founding fathers were clear on this, note the various quotes attributed to Franklin:

• They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

• They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

• Those Who Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither.

• He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.

• He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither.

• People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both.

• If we restrict liberty to attain security we will lose them both.

• Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.

• He who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither.

• Those who would trade in their freedom for their protection deserve neither.

• Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security.

The head of the TSA has said publicly that no amount of pressure from the public (I might add the citizens of the country of whom he is a servant) will cause him to change "MY rules." HIS rules? Who the heck is he that he has his own rules? I thought we had the Rule of Law. Clearly that is in the rearview mirror at this time. Change? Yes, we need change. Let's do a 180 and get out of here.

I've written my congressman and told him that unless he sponsors legislation to eliminate completely this police state system that I will vote for any candidate that will. I fully understand that would mean voting for a third party candidate who "cannot get elected." So be it. I will not vote for someone who backs a police state.
